ABOUT
We build case intelligence for personal injury law firms
Valryn exists because plaintiff firms deserve better than generic legal AI. We built a case intelligence platform specifically for personal injury work — grounded in real verdicts, tuned to your firm's jurisdictions, and honest about what AI can and can't do.
What we believe
Four principles shape how we build the product — from how the scoring engine works to how we write documentation.
Real data over synthetic confidence
Most legal AI tools confidently produce nothing useful. We ground every scoring decision in actual personal injury verdicts — 1,767 cases indexed across eight states, with county-level resolution on 1,382 of them. If the data doesn't support a recommendation, Valryn says so.
County-level, not state-level
Plaintiff attorneys already know that county matters. Our scoring, damage estimates, and comparable-verdict search all operate at the county level — because a Philadelphia slip-and-fall and a rural Pennsylvania slip-and-fall are different cases with different values.
Firm-specific, not one-size-fits-all
Your firm knows which carriers settle and which counties trend defense. Valryn's scoring modifier layer lets you encode that institutional knowledge into the AI — so recommendations reflect your venue, not a national average.
Attorney judgment, augmented
We don't replace attorney judgment. We surface the right signals at the right time — SOL deadlines, liability red flags, damage benchmarks — so your team triages faster and reviews with better context.
The technology
Valryn is engineered end-to-end by a team that ships production systems. We use the tools that work, and we're opinionated about which ones actually do.
PostgreSQL + pgvector
Verdict data indexed with HNSW for fast semantic similarity search. Cases stay in your tenant via row-level security at the database layer.
Hybrid search
Semantic search (OpenAI embeddings) runs in parallel with keyword search (CourtListener integration) for every case evaluation.
AI intake via Retell
Voice AI handles intake calls with multilingual support — English, Spanish, Mandarin — with consent-based recording and real-time transcription.
County resolution
City + state → county lookup happens automatically at intake so every case is compared to verdicts from the venue where it would actually be tried.
How we handle your data
Client data is privileged material. We treat it that way — architecturally, not just in policy.
- Your firm's data stays in your tenant — never used to train external models
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Row-level security enforced at the PostgreSQL layer, not just application code
- Actively building toward SOC 2 Type II — transparent about where we are
- HIPAA-ready architecture; BAAs available on Enterprise plans
Who Valryn is for
Personal injury plaintiff firms of every size — from solo practices to multi-state organizations with dedicated intake teams. Our pricing scales from $347/month (solo practice) to custom Enterprise agreements; the scoring engine behaves the same across all plans, just with different feature depth.
We work with firms practicing medical malpractice, auto accidents, slip and fall, wrongful death, product liability, workplace injury, and related PI verticals. If your practice is volume-focused and jurisdiction-specific, Valryn is built for you.
